Brow Lamination, Explained
It's the treatment behind every fluffy, brushed-up brow you've seen lately. Here's what lamination is, who it suits, and how to keep the results looking sharp.

So, what is it?
Brow lamination is a bit like a perm for your eyebrows. A gentle solution relaxes the brow hairs so they can be brushed into a new, uniform direction — usually upward and outward — then a second solution sets them in place. The effect is fuller, more even brows that hold their shape for weeks.
Who does it suit?
Lamination is brilliant for brows that are sparse, unruly, or grow in different directions. Brushing the hairs upward covers gaps and creates the illusion of density, which is why it flatters thin brows so well. If your brows are already very full, we might suggest shaping and tinting instead.
What about tint and shaping?
Lamination changes texture, not colour. Most clients pair it with a tint or henna stain to add depth and fill any pale patches, followed by precise shaping to tidy the outline. Together, the three steps give that polished, editorial brow.
How long does it last?
Expect four to six weeks, depending on your hair and how well you follow aftercare. As the hairs grow, the set relaxes gradually rather than dropping all at once.
Aftercare in a nutshell
- First 24 hours: keep brows dry and product-free while the set locks in.
- Daily: brush them into shape each morning with a clean spoolie.
- Weekly: a little brow oil keeps the hairs conditioned and healthy.
Is it safe?
In trained hands, yes. Over-processing is the main risk with lamination, which is why we time the solutions carefully and offer a patch test for first-time and sensitive clients. We'll never laminate brows that look too fragile for the treatment.
